This scrapbook collection includes images of international and domestic ships obtained from magazine and journal articles. Some newspaper clippings are included in the collection. Each volume is devoted to a specific type of ship: Volume 1, United States Schooners of 3 or 4 masts; Volume 2, Fishing Schooners from Gloucester, Massachusetts and Canada; Volume 3, Fishing Schooners in the Pacific Ocean; Volume 3a, images of Fisherman's Trophy Races; Volume 4, Schooners of Canada and in the South Seas; Volume 5, Shooners in the West Indies; Volume 6, Barkentines; Volume 7, British Coasters; Volume 8, Danish, Swedish, and Finnish Coasters; Volume 9, French Coasters and Fishing Craft; Volume 10, Miscellaneous United States Vessels; Volume 11, Arctic and Anarctic Whalers; Volume 12, British Naval Training Ships; Volume 13, Training Ships of the United States, Belgium, Germany, and Franch; Volume 14, Miscellaneous Images of Ships; Volume 14, Images On Board Ship, Part 1; Volume15, Images on Board Ship, Part II; Volumes 17-20, Clippings of Miscellaneous Vessels; Volume 21, Marine Drawings and Paintings from Magazines; Volume 22, Marine Paintings and Drawings and Sea Chanties Drawings; and Volume 23, Images of Ship Models, Mostly British. Originally housed in non-archival notebooks, the pages were removed and placed into archival folders.
